Neshka Robeva
Neshka Robeva was born on 26.05.1946 in Rouse, Bulgaria. In 1966 Robeva graduated “Bulgarian Dances” at the State Choreographic Scool. From 1966 to 1973 Neshka Robeva was a national competitor in rhythmic gymnastics. Robeva took part in four World champioships and won in the individual tournaments five silver and four bronze medals. Neshka Robeva graduated at the National Sports Academy in 1974 and started working as a trainer at “Levski-Spartak” sport club. The same year Robeva became senior trainer of the National Team in Rhythmic Gymnastics and remained in that position until 1999. Those 25 years will be remembered as the “Golden Girls’ Century” of the Bulgarian school in rhythmic gymnastics and its European and World champions as the “Golden girls” of Bulgaria. The sucessess of several generations of Bulgarian gymnasts are closely related with her name.
In World, European and Olympic champioships Neshka’s gymnasts have won 247 medals. From 1993 to 1997 Neshka Robeva was a member of the European Committee for Gymnastics. Robeva reads lektures at international seminars in Europe, Asia, USA, Latin America and Australia. For her exceptional achievements in her profession Neshka Robeva was awarded with almost all state distinctions. Robeva was a deputy with two cosecutive mandates at the Parlament. At present Neshka Robeva is Prezident of the rhythmic gymnastics club "Levski".
